Concreting without ties - SB Brace Frame combined with conventional wall formwork
The KRP9 jobsite is located in Kyoto.
In Kyoto water leakage on underground building structures is often a problem and underground walls therefore have to be constructed completely waterproof. Tying through underground walls is not possible in order to meet this requirement effectively.
Here the PERI SB Brace Frame method, which works without wall ties came into consideration and has been chosen for this project due to its effectiveness and high workability.

At the very beginning we were opposed to use this entirely new method.
However, according to the formwork design, the conventional wall formwork did not have to be reinforced and the units were very easy to move. The results exceeded our expectaions.
